How feasible is it to reconnect the ribbon cable connectors on it? It must have gotten damaged when I dropped my camera. On some Canon cameras, this requires holding the menu button down with the camera powered on for up to 10 seconds. Couldnt' get the lens to retract all the way and kept getting lens error and retry power on messages. his comment is here

My camera is giving me a "lens error/restart camera" message and the shutter seems to be a bit opened. Also, I do not recommend probing too deeply around the lens barrel with the paper (don't go more than a 1 cm or 1/2 in) .
