The lens would not retract I saw a bunch of fixes online that did not work. I don't know if it's because it's not the exact same camera or if it's because of it being broken. (I had used a HP camera on my computer without the Using a blow-dryer didn't work and neither did changing the batteries. A camera owner that suffers this problem may have no recourse for having the camera repaired. check my blog
I powered my camera on and the lens went it. I put the screw back and the camera works like a charm. Good luck!
