It was amazing, I felt like some kind of genius and bragged to all my friends. when it wants to extend but it cant do so, i fix it by patiently pulling on the lens. Have updated the posting as suggested. I did everything up to the tapping step, which worked, however, when the lens finally opened I had no picture, it was just white. Hello camera repair, I was interested in buying an canon sd1000 or something like it, but after reading all of these problems I am reluctant. Other variations include hitting a side of the camera against the palm of your hand. You may hold the end of the spring with a toothpickk to hook it over the post or you may catch the post by twisting the flap a millimeter extra before i tried all of these but my camera still did not want to work.
