Lens Error On Nikon Coolpix S6100


The logo is showing up dark as much of the battery power is likely going to the lens motor trying to overcome the sand. Any ideas? See atached picture. Has anyone actually got it repaired. check my blog

But thought it won't hurt to try...Canon A510..powers on, shows the canon screen, lens stuck (almost all the way in except for maybe about 3/16 of an inch)then powers off. Another alternative to this is to try to suck the dirt out using a vacuum cleaner, though blowing is often more effective than sucking. You may be able to crack the case bottom and reveal the round motor, about the diameter of a AA battery.
