i'm currently overseas and although my camera is within warranty, i cant possibly send my camera back to the original country for repair. Truly invaluable advice! Thank you for the info. my camera was like jamming when the lens tried to come out and saying lens error, so i tried forcing it out and ended up snapping the front of the lense check my blog

This person had a similar lens error to yours and fixed it by grabbing and holding onto the lens barrel as it was attempting to reclose. But I noticed there was a small gap and the lens was actually crooked when I sat it down.
