I had already tried using new batteries, but it was the memory card the whole time. I found your website and removing the batteries and memory card worked for me. Thanks. Removing and replacing the battery did the trick. this content

Gently pull it out and clean its end connections with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol.
In looking at the lens carefully as it was trying to open, I noticed some white caulky-like material peeking out from under the outer lens ring. we've had it looked at but the camera ppl said it will cost more to fix it than it would be to buy a new camera. It's now firmly in place and the camera works again perfectly. Submitted: 4 years ago. Again, while doing any of the above, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins may have reseated in their guide slots. Powering the camera off and back on would reset the zoom, but only until zooming in again...
