Sheba7 Mar 06, 2008 Unfortunately, I dropped my Nikon 5700 which resulted in the camera lens being stuck in the out position. I'm now getting a ' lens error ' message when I try to switch on the camera and the lens will not extend in the normal way. So now I have this problem and finally have cracked the shits. news But note that the fixes listed here will not work for everyone.

Brought 300.00 SB Flash, 170.00 telephoto len and just spent 300.00 to fix lens error and its been 1 month and now I camera does nto turn on. After gently but firmly tapping the A/V out corner of the camera 4 or 5 times it works like a charm again.THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I tried to push the lens towards the widest gap and heard a click. What would be the approximate cost of repairs? ...
